How do I get a SMTP based email account?

If your ISP doesn't provide you with a SMTP server, then you can sign up for a free SMTP based email service.  There are several free SMTP based providers on the Internet, like Nettaxi or MailAndNews.  Then setup an email sender/reader program like Microsoft Outlook, Netscape Messenger, or Qualcomm Eudora (which are FREE to download) using the SMTP server name provided by whichever service you use.
